Newport, Oregon is home to many of my most favorite treats... the ocean, the Rouge Brewery and fresh, sweet crab! It's by far the first place i beg my boy toy to take me too every time we get a weekend to ourselves... it NEVER gets old!! period. so... it only seems fitting to have a little slice of that heavenly place in my home! ;D
OOOhh... and for all you "Sister's in Smut" readers, Phew... have i been reading a doozy! in fact... when i'm done with post, i'm jumping back in to my OOOooohhh... so fabulous bed to read more!
Best books since Twilight for me!!
here's my Mr. Grey.
and yeah... the books ( 3 total ) are as yummy as him! :P but... do not blame me if all you can do is lay in bed fanning yourself; while your family scrounges for food, wears dirty clothes and complains their mother/ wife has deserted them... deal! Okay, good! :D
I think this is going to be a very good week! (wink, wink )
x, Heather

Great quilt - and I've heard great things about that book too!
ReplyDeleteI have a bundle of Going Coastal and I can't decide what to do with it. Thanks for showing yours. Hopefully it will light a fire under me to slice into it. I love this line!

Read about that Trilogy somewhere else this week. It sounds a bit like the trilogy Anne Rice did, The Claiiming of Sleeping Beauty....another well written steamy series! As for Mr. Grey well he'll be climb to my house too.

It.is.so.very.true.
ReplyDeleteI told myself today that I couldn't read until ALL my chores where done and the kids were napping. ;-)
My Mr Gray is a little different but just as hot.
Oh, ya, a quilt? ;-)
Your quilt is awesome. I read the first book. Just waiting until my heart rate goes back to normal for the second one.
ReplyDeleteIs that quilt top ever gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a AWESOME quilt! I just LOVE it! I have been wanting to use some of the Hoodie Lobster print to make quilt or something to remind me of my trip to Maine 10 years ago. You may have just helped me make up my mind to DO IT! LOL
ReplyDeleteNice Tere says: The quilt is very cute! I need a crab and sushi quilt. If you ever come to Destin, I have just the place to take you!
ReplyDeleteNaughty Tere says: OMGa!!!!!!!!! Whew, you know I have been fanning myself on our lovely Mr. Grey books! Holy Moley. I am reading til 2 a.m.!!!!!!!!

Gorgeous as usual my dear. Looking forward to see it all quilted.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt but you and Jen are making me want to pick up those books. Whew!
ReplyDeleteI love Newport! I used to live in Florence, OR, so I'd get up to Newport every so often.
ReplyDeleteNewport is a great place! I love Cannon Beach too. Your quilt looks so good. I have to cut into my fabric now!! Enjoy your books ;-)
ReplyDeletegreat quilt, I love what you did with the Going Coastal :) I'm hoarding a small stash of that fabric, waiting until I go on a quilting retreat this spring to cut into it.
ReplyDeletejust happened upon your blog and what caught my eye was Newport Oregon, My favorite place on earth, only it's a 14 hour drive for me, but we try to do it every couple years. Sad part is the little house in the old town we rent has been sold. Love your quilt it is a little piece of Newport...
ReplyDeleteTammy
Ooh, your quilt is yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt - but then I always do love your quilts and pillows. Your "sisters in smut" reference made me smile, so I had to download the free sample to my Kindle. Then I had to download the entire book...and now, if you'll excuse me, I must get back to it!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore this quilt...it's making me swoon!
ReplyDeletelovin that quilt top!!!Can't wait to see it quilted!
ReplyDeleteI sparkley heart that quilt top!
ReplyDeleteAnd hahaha on the smut...I was just thinking I hadn't had enough smut in my life lately...
I am saddened that you are reading this book based on Dominant submission practices better known as "lifestyle". Slavery should be done away with for all time! Ds has one purpose to enslave females thru torture fear and pain.
ReplyDeleteSteamy novels just mainstream a horrific practice.
Love the quilt and dang girl. I *had* to go and read the sample book on amazon and then I *had* to download and read the entire series. My poor poor family. I finished three stinkin' books in 2 days. *yawn* They made me blush and pulled at my heart the whole way through!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather! I am always looking for a good read and haven't had one since Twilight - just ordered all three thru Amazon:) Can't wait to get them!
ReplyDeleteI love your Newport quilt - it does scream out Newport OR, doesn't it!
